Census Support

Data Services (DS) provides specialized Census support for PSC researchers and the larger U-M campus community. We specialize in helping users with large-scale census-based projects with lots of data manipulation.

  • DS provides one-on-one instruction, tutorials, and workshops on accessing and using census data. Need a census lecture in a class? Contact us.
  • DS maintains links to tools and resources to help with access and manipulation of census data.
  • DS has expertise in an array of census topics - changes in variables or geographic boundaries over time, census estimates, apportionment, challenges to census counts and procedures via the courts, measurement of same-sex couples, etc.
  • Census support extends beyond Data Services with links to other experts and resources.

Census Tools

These resources and tools provide access to census files or provide crosswalks to variables and geographies over time.
