|Title:||Current Population Survey, 2006 [United States]: BLS Microdata: Outgoing Rotation File (NBER Merged Outgoing Rotation Groups)|
|Abstract:||These files are created by taking the outgoing rotation group from each month of the Current Population Survey (CPS). The end result is a large yearly file of the basic CPS questions (employment status, occupation, income, marital status, etc.). The main virtue of this file is that is has roughly three times as many observations as the widely used March CPS. Another advantage is that the usual weekly data have current pay and current characteristics whereas the March survey links last year's earnings to current characteristics. These files are available from 1979 on.|
|Universe:||Non-institutionalized civilian population of the United States living in housing units and members of the Armed Forces living in civilian housing units on a military base or in a household not on a military base.|
