| Abstract: | The 1985 California linked birth data set consist of one file that includes all children (survivors and infant deaths) who were born in 1985. There are items indicating length of life and cause of death for children in this cohort who die before their first birthday. Survivors have inap codes on these items. The California linked birth/death data are richer than the national linked files. All items included in the national file are available. In addition more detailed location data are available including county and zip code. Also available are medical complications during the pregnancy, labor and delivery. |
