| Abstract: | The study includes information related to the process and criteria by which mothers of preschool-aged children search for, select, and evaluate alternative methods of child care and how the availability and costs of alternative forms of child care influence women's employment decisions and reproductive behavior. The study includes data on marital and fertility history and fertility expectations, employment histories and expectations, child care histories and current arrangements, the child care search for the first and/or the most recent non-maternal care arrangement, perceptions of child care and child care attitudes, and other background and sociodemographic data. |
