| Abstract: | Data are provided on labor force activity for the week prior to the survey. Comprehensive data are also available on the employment sates, occupation, and industry of persons 15 years or older. Personal characteristics such as age, race, sex, marital status, veteran status, household relationship, and Spanish origin are included.. The purpose of the collection of data on immigration is to improve the quality of estimates of the foreign-born population and to improve the projections of the U.S. population in future years that are necessary for adequate housing, recreation, education facilities, and other services. |
