| Abstract: | The National Survey of Senior Citizens is a multi-agency project undertaken by the Department of Statistics (DOS), Ministry of Community Development (MCD) and Ministry of Health (MOH). The survey collects information on the socio-economic profile, support systems, and physical, mental and functional status of persons aged 55 and over. This would be the second national survey since the first benchmark survey conducted in 1983. The survey covers a sample of about 6,000 residents aged 55 years and over. Only respondents living in community were surveyed. The survey oversamples those aged 75 and older. |
