Killing Current Jobs

Another way to kill jobs is to type:

jobs

UNIX will respond with a brief description of the jobs running:

[1] Running wc bigdata.dat &
[2] Running sas file2 &

To kill the second job:

kill %2

This procedure will only work for the current signon. If you started some jobs and then logged off, typing "jobs" will show nothing. At that point you should get a listing of all jobs run by this user, on this workstation, as shown in Card 10a.
