Easy Editors on UNIX (pico)
To begin an editing session in pico, type:
pico <filename>
Commonly used commands appear at the bottom of the screen. Pico is in insert mode at all times. You must hit return at the end of each line. You can cursor up and down using the arrow keys.
To delete a character ^D (^stands for control key)
To delete a line ^K
To exit ^X
To get help ^G
Upon exiting you will be asked if you want to save the file. If yes, it will ask for a name.
