Q:

Do you know if the summary files include information on the US protectorates in the Pacific (Guam, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Micronesia, etc.) and the Virgin Islands? I know the Census Bureau conducts a census in these locations.

A:

There is a summary file for American Samoa, Guam, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands from American Factfinder:

http://factfinder.census.gov/home/saff/main.html?_lang=en

Select Decennial Census/Get Data
Scroll down and towards the bottom of the page you will see the choices for the protectorates.

The summary data are in a single file for each territory, rather than the typical division we see for the US data (SF1, SF2, SF3, SF4, etc.).

Puerto Rican data are in the US file (for the census). For the ACS, Puerto Rico has its own Puerto Rico Community Survey.

As an aside, ICPSR has 10% public use microdata samples (PUMS) for Guam (13564) and the Virgin Islands (13567).
