Can I access data from ICPSR from my home PC? My home computer is not part of the university IP pool.
A:
Access to ICPSR data is not entirely driven by IP addresses anymore.
You need to create a MyData account and have it validated. As long as you have downloaded from an ICPSR Direct IP address in the last six months, you can download data from any computer.
You need to login every 6 months or so from an on-campus computer so that ICPSR can verify that you are still at the member institution.
