Measuring Marriage & Divorce among Same-Sex Couples
The Institute for Social Research (ISR) used to support Multiple Classification Analysis (MCA) through OSIRIS. I liked this program very much. Can you tell me if this is still available?
The Multiple Classification Analysis (MCA) software was originally developed and included in the OSIRIS software system. I am not aware that it was introduced into any other contemporary PC-based software systems such as SPSS, SAS, or Stata.
Neil Van Eck, one of the original authors of OSIRIS, is still maintaining a PC version of OSIRIS.
MCA is one of the multivariate procedures that is supported in MicrOsiris.
MicrOsiris is is a comprehensive statistical and data management package for Windows developed and freely distributed by Van Eck Computer Consulting. It is derived from OSIRIS IV, a statistical and data management package developed and used at the University of Michigan and includes special techniques for data mining and analysis of nominal- and ordinal-scaled data (MNA, MCA). MicrOsiris accepts data from SPSS, SAS, and Excel as well as from other sources, including UNESCO IDAMS datasets.
