Q:

Do you have a source for the number of undocumented migrants by state from 2000 on?

A:

Jeff Passel of Pew Hispanic makes estimates of the undocumented population on an annual basis as does Homeland Security. The latest report has an interactive map which shows this population by state, origin, and gender and age. Appendix C describes the methodology used to generate these estimates.

He also provides a consistent series of estimates by states in Appendix Table A1. There are estimates for 1990, 2000, 2005, 2008, and 2010.
