Insufficient Authorization
If a user gets the following message in a SAS log file:
Insufficient authorization
This means that there is a permission problem in writing out files. Typical reasons for permission problems are:
- User is over quota in /usr/shared. This is typically set to 500mb. See Computing staff if you need more space or need to know how much space you are using.
- User doesn't have write access to directory or to file within directory.
- File being written to is in use - i.e., *.lst file or perhaps *.dat file is open in pico, vi, Word, etc.
