AccessAsia
Description: NBR's AccessAsia maintains several databases, including a specialist database that tracks the expertise and current research of leading experts on contemporary Asian affairs.

Access UN
Coverage: 1966 -
Description: This database contains complete bibliographic citations of UN documents and publications. Indexes United Nations documents since 1966, including Official Records, sales publications, masthead documents.

Access World News
Coverage: 1982 - (Coverage varies by title)
Description: Full text of over 600 US newspapers and over 260 English language newspapers from other countries worldwide. Includes New York Times (2000- ), Detroit Free Press (1982- ), Detroit News (1999- ), Chicago Tribune (1985- ), The Times (London), etc.

Africa-Wide: NiPAD
Coverage: 19th Century-to-present
Description: A combination of 17 bibliographic databases from Africa, Europe and the US providing access to multi-disciplinary information on Africa, including African Studies Abstracts (1988- ) and the library catalog of the Africa Institute (1981- ).

Ageline
Coverage: 1978 -
Description: Indexes and abstracts books, journals, research reports, consumer guides, and book chapters in the field of aging.

Anthropological Plus
Coverage: 1850 -
Description: A comprehensive, international index to the literature of anthropology and archaeology produced by the Tozzer Library at Harvard, covering all articles, reports, commentaries, etc. at least two pages long in over 1,000 journals and monographic series.

Bibliography of Asian Studies
Coverage: 1971 -
Description: Contains over 410,000 citations to western-language periodical articles and books published on all subjects pertaining to East, Southeast, and South Asia.

Black Studies on Disc 2000
Coverage: 1988- Description: Information on materials by and about African Americans, Africa and peoples of African ancestry. Includes catalog of the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture and citations from the Index to Black periodicals.

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts
Access to many databases including social sciences ones. Search multiple databases at the same time including Ageline, EconLit, Sociological Abstracts and Medline.

China Academic Journals
Coverage: 1994 -
Description: full-text access to more than 6000 academic journals published in China. Currently we are subscribed to three of the nine categories offered: humanities, business and law, and social sciences.

Congressional Universe
Coverage: 1970 - (Indexing); 1988 - (Full text)
Description: one of the Lexis-Nexis databases. Congressional committee publications, hearings (full text since 1988), committee prints, reports, text of bills, and public laws since 1970 and Federal Register.

Criminal Justice Abstracts

Coverage: 1968 -
Description: Indexes major journals in criminology & related disciplines, plus books & reports from government & non-governmental agencies.

Datapedia of the United States: American History in Numbers
A comprehensive desk reference that contains the most significant historical statistics of the United States from 1789 to 2003, as well as demographic and other select data projections through 2050.

Dissertation Abstracts
Coverage: 1861 - (Indexing); 1997 - (Full Text of UM & Big Ten Dissertations)
Description: Indexing and authors' abstracts of all dissertations in all subjects accepted at all accredited institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

EconLit
Coverage: 1969 -
Description: Subject indexing and abstracts of journals and books, dissertations, and working papers. Topics include economic theory and history, monetary theory and financial institutions, labor economics, international, regional and urban economics.

ERIC (Educational Resources Information Centers)
Coverage: 1966 -
Description: The database contains more than 1,000,000 abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. Indexes journal articles, government publications and unpublished materials such as conference papers, reports, theses and more.

Ethnic NewsWatch
Coverage: 1985 -
Description: A full text database of 200 publications of the ethnic, minority and native press. Searchable in both English and Spanish, with titles in both languages. Includes more than 100,000 articles in Spanish and over 400,000 in English.

Family & Society Studies Worldwide
Coverage: 1970-
Description: A comprehensive resource of research, policy and practice literature in the fields of family science, human ecology and development, and social welfare. Provides abstracts and bibliographic records from 2,000+ journals, books, reports, and other sources.

Foundation Directory Online
Profiles over 70,000 U.S.-based foundations, describing programs, areas of funding, types of support, geographic emphasis, trustees & officers, application process, deadlines, and lists of recent grants made. Updated biweekly.

GenderWatch
Coverage: 1974 -
Description: A full text database of 140 international publications devoted to women's and gender issues, including scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers, plus reports, pamphlets, papers and conference proceedings.

Global Books in Print
Bibliographic database featuring more than 12.5 million in-print, out-of-print, and forthcoming books, audio books, and
videos from more than 40 countries.

Global Health
Global Health is a public health database that provides information on international health, biomedical life sciences, non-communicable diseases, public health nutrition, food safety and hygiene, and much more. The database provides a global perspective with coverage of publications from over 158 countries in 50 languages.  Global Health contains more than 1.2 million records dating back to 1973, with coverage of more than 5,000 serials, books, book chapters, reports, conference proceedings, discussion papers, newsletters, patents, theses, and electronic publications.

Health and Psychosocial Instruments
Coverage: 1985 -
Description: Indexes journal articles that describe or utilize tests and measures used in health care, psychosocial sciences and organizational behavior. Also provides some information about the tests.

Hispanic American Periodicals Index
Coverage: 1970 -
Description: Provides citations drawn from more than 400 journals, primarily in Spanish or English, which cover Latin America, the Caribbean, and Hispanics in the United States.

Historical Statistics of the United States
Coverage: Colonial time to 1970
Description: Electronic version of the bicentennial edition published in 1975.

Historical Statistics of the United States: Millennial Edition
The online version of the revised five-volume reference work. Topics ranging from migration and health to crime and the Confederate States of America are each placed in historical context by a recognized expert in the field. The fully searchable and downloadable electronic edition will permit users to graph individual tables and create customized tables and spreadsheets.

Human Relations Area Files (Ethnography)
Description: Ethnographic texts on world's cultures indexed by culture and subject.

Human Population & Natural Resource Management
Coverage: 1995-
Indexes journal articles, conference proceedings, books and reports about human population and natural resources and the environment. Includes demography topics, as well as societal issues involving natural resources management.

ICPSR Data Archive

Description: The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research maintains the world's largest archive of computerized, numeric social science data. Topics covered include demography, economics, health care, politics, social behavior, public opinion.

International Encyclopedia of the Social & Behavioral Sciences
Coverage: 2001 edition
Description: Online version of the largest reference work published in the social and behavioral sciences.

LegalTrac
Coverage: 1980 -
Description: Indexes major law reviews, law journals, specialty law and bar association journals, and legal newspapers covering U.S. federal and state cases, laws, government regulations & legal practice; British Commonwealth, European Union & international law.

LexisNexis

Description: Provides full-text access to a wide range of news, business, legal, and reference information, including hundreds of U.S. and foreign newspapers, legal and business publications, wire services, broadcast media transcripts, and trade/news magazines.

Description: Compilation of questions and responses from more than 6,500 national, state, local and special surveys in the U.S. and over 60 other countries.

POPLINE

Description: Worldwide coverage of population, family planning, and related health issues, including family planning technology and programs, fertility, and population law and policy.

PsycInfo
Coverage: 1887 -
Description: Citations to international periodical literature in psychology and related disciplines. Also includes citations to dissertations and some book chapters.

Roper Center's iPOLL Database
iPOLL contains nearly half a million survey questions and answers asked in the US over the last 65 years by more than 150 survey organizations.

Social Sciences Electronic Data Library
Coverage: Current edition.
Description: A health and social science resource that consists of over 300 data sets from 200 different studies comprising six topically-focused collections (Aging, AIDS/STD, etc.). These are raw data sets that are available for downloading as compressed files.

Social Sciences Citation Index
Coverage: 1956 -
Description: A multidisciplinary database, with searchable author abstracts, covering the journal literature of the social sciences. It indexes 1,700 journals spanning 50 disciplines.

Sociological Abstracts
Coverage: 1952 -
Description: Citations and abstracts of journal articles concerning all aspects of sociology published in Sociological Abstracts and Social Planning Policy and Development Abstracts.

SourceOECD
Online library of the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Includes full-text of all books, 24 periodicals and the OECD statistical databases.

Statistical Universe
Coverage: 1974 -
Description: Indexes and abstracts federal statistical publications since 1974, business and state government publications since 1980, and international agency publications since 1983. Provides links to full text of 15% of federal publications.

STAT!REF
Coverage: Current edition
Description: Stat Ref is a full-text resource that searches across more than 25 medical and drug texts. Includes Stedman's Medical Dictionary, DSM-IV-TR: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, and the Dictionary of Medical Acronyms and Abbreviations.

STAT-USA
Coverage: Coverage varies
Description: Provides economic, business, and international trade information produced by the U.S. Government.

UN data
You can find official statistics produced by countries and compiled by United Nations data system, as well as estimates and projections. The domains covered are agriculture, education, energy, industry, labour, national accounts, population and tourism.

UN Treaty Collection
Coverage: 1946-
Description: Includes status and full text of all multilateral treaties deposited with the United Nations; bilateral and multilateral treaties registered with and published by the UN; and recently deposited multilateral treaties not yet published

Wanfang Chinese Studies Online
Currently includes the following three online databases: China Online Journals (COJ) in Arts/Humanities, Social Sciences (万方数字化期刊); Dissertations of China (DOC) in Arts/Humanities, Social Sciences (万方学位论文数据库); Policies and Laws of China (PLOC).

Web of Knowledge
Coverage: 1945 - (1956 - for Social Sciences; 1975 - for Arts & Humanities)
Description: Combines three citation indexes--Arts & Humanities, Science Expanded, and Social Sciences--which permit searching for articles that cite a known author or work, as well as searching by subject, author, journal, and author address. Covers 8,400+ journals.

World Bank e-Library
Online, fully cross-searchable and browsable collection of over 3,900 World Bank documents. The collection consists of over 1,600 World Bank publications and over 2,300 Policy Research Working Papers, plus each new book and paper as they are published.

WorldCat
OCLC FirstSearch. Over 40 million citations to books, periodicals, sound recordings, videos, musical scores, archival materials and much more, representing holdings of most libraries in North America and some in Asia and Europe.

World Development Indicators

Coverage: 1960 -
Description: Economic development data from 551 statistical series for 224 countries and ethnic groups of the world, compiled by the World Bank. Specific series and countries/groups can be selected for specific year ranges, and data can be exported.

Worldwide Political Science Abstracts
Coverage: 1975-Current
Description: Provides citations, abstracts, and indexing of the international serials literature in political science and its complementary fields, including international relations, law, and public administration/policy.
