Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, (U-M access)
Offered as a feature of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, this dictionary contains more than 160,000 entries and more than 214,000 definitions. This is quite good for finding current, accurate information about English usage, spelling, or pronunciation.

Oxford English Dictionary, (U-M access)
The most complete and authoritative dictionary of the English language. Cites quotations demonstrating the use of each word defined to illustrate development of its usage and meaning.
