The Freedman Library supports research and training activities of the Population Studies Center. Library staff is available to assist the ISR community with information and research needs. Please stop by the library or email psc-library@umich.edu.

Circulation Assistance
The library collection is searchable with the online catalog. Staff provides assistance in locating materials and recalling checked-out items.

Acquisitions/Donations
Library staff welcomes acquisition suggestions and donations that strengthen the library collection to support research projects and training activities of ISR.

Reference/Information Inquiries
Staff helps with information questions and offers suggestions regarding services and resources in ISR and on campus.

Literature/Citation Searches
Library staff assists with literature searches on various bibliographic databases. Searches can include citation verification, author or cited reference searches or comprehensive literature reviews.

Document Request/Interlibrary Loan Assistance
The library offers assistance in locating materials and helps with the use of campus interlibrary loan service. Article and book deliveries are available to center faculty and research staff.

Tables of Contents Delivery
Journal tables of contents delivery service is available to all members of the center. You can choose the journal titles you would like to receive. A sign up sheet is available at the front desk. You can add and delete titles at any time.

Tutorials/Workshops
We offer individual tutorials and group sessions on searching tools and bibliographic management software. Feel free to stop by or set up an appointment.

Reserve Shelves
The Library maintains a reserve shelf for students upon faculty's request.

Copyright Assistance
Library staff provides copyright assistance which includes finding copyright policies, contacting publishers and offering suggestions.

NIH Public Access Policy Support
Library staff is available to assist with compliance issues.
