Yan Fu and Lee Ridley assist with the use of the library collection, the services and resources of the UM Library system, and Internet resources. The following are some of the services we provide:
Reference/Information Inquiries
Staff is available to help with information questions and offer searching advice. The Library also provides assistance with the use of services and resources of the University Library system.
Literature/Citation Searches
The Library staff assists with literature searches on various bibliographic databases. Searches can include citation verification, author or cited reference searches or comprehensive literature reviews.
Document Request
Article and book deliveries are available to center faculty and research staff. The regular turn around time is 48 hours. A status update email will be sent if it is going to take longer. Faculty members requesting books need to fill out a proxy card application form before book retrieval is possible. The proxy card is good for a year and needs to be renewed annually. Article requests do not need any forms. Faculty and research staff can drop off the requests at the front desk or
email.
Tables of Contents Delivery
Journal tables of contents delivery service is available to all members of the center. You can choose the journal titles you would like to receive. A sign up sheet is available at the front desk. You can add and delete titles at any time.
Tutorials/Workshops
The library staff provides individual tutorials and group training sessions on library research and the use of bibliographical databases. Feel free to stop by or set up an appointment for a quick session of campus library resources and electronic access of journals and databases.
Reserve Shelves
The Library maintains a reserve shelf for students upon faculty's request.
