NBR's AccessAsia maintains several databases, including a specialist database that tracks the expertise and current research of leading experts on contemporary Asian affairs.
This database contains complete bibliographic citations of UN documents and publications. Indexes United Nations documents since 1966, including Official Records, sales publications, masthead documents.
Access World News
Full text of over 600 US newspapers and over 260 English language newspapers from other countries worldwide. Includes New York Times (2000- ), Ann Arbor News (2003-2009), Detroit News (1999- ), Chicago Tribune (1985- ), The Times (London), etc.
Africa Development Indicators
Africa Development Indicators contains over 1,600 indicators and time series from 1961 to the present for 53 countries.
Africa-Wide is a combination of two well-known databases, South African Studies and African Studies, published by Ebsco. It consists of more than 30 different database files from Africa, Europe and the U.S. with nearly two million records indexing articles, books, newspapers, government documents, radio and TV broadcasts, pamphlets, maps, theses, and music recordings. Topics covered include politics, history, economics, business, mining, natural sciences, environment, development, social issues, anthropology, literature, language, law, music, tourism and much more.

Antropology Plus (Ebsco)
A comprehensive, international index to the literature of anthropology and archaeology. Anthropology Plus combines two major indexes: Anthropological Literature from Harvard's Peabody Museum and the Royal Anthropological Institute's Anthropological Index, from the UK. Includes journal articles, reports, commentaries and obituaries of at least two pages in length, from over 2,500 core journals journals and books in monographic series. Covers the fields of social, cultural, physical, biological, and linguistic anthropology, ethnology, archaeology, folklore, and material culture. Covers early 19th century to the present.
Bibliography of Asian Studies
Contains over 410,000 citations to western-language periodical articles and books published on all subjects pertaining to East, Southeast, and South Asia.
Black Studies on Disc 2000
Information on materials by and about African Americans, Africa and peoples of African ancestry. Includes catalog of the Schomberg Center for Research in Black Culture and citations from the Index to Black periodicals.
China Data Online
Collection of databases including: statistical yearbooks, census data and other databases.
China Academic Journals
Full-text access to more than 6000 academic journals published in China. Currently we are subscribed to three of the nine categories offered: humanities, business and law, and social sciences.
Congressional committee publications, hearings (full text since 1988), committee prints, reports, text of bills, and public laws since 1970 and Federal Register.
Criminal Justice Abstracts
Criminal Justice Abstracts, the criminology database from Sage Publications, Inc., contains comprehensive coverage of international journals, books, reports, dissertations and unpublished papers on criminology and related disciplines.
Indexing and authors' abstracts of all dissertations in all subjects accepted at all accredited institutions in the U.S. and Canada.
Access to over 80 databases provided by EBSCO including AgeLine, Child Development, Criminal Justice Abstracts, Family & Society Studies, Global Health, Health and Psychosocial Instruments, Mental Measurements Yearbook, PsycINFO and Social Science Abstracts.
This database is published by the American Economic Association and provides bibliographic coverage of a wide range of economics-related literature. An expanded version of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) indexes of journals, books and dissertations, EconLit covers both economic theory and application.
ERIC (Educational Resources Information Centers
The database contains more than 1,000,000 abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. Indexes journal articles, government publications and unpublished materials such as conference papers, reports, theses and more.
A full text database of 200 publications of the ethnic, minority and native press. Searchable in both English and Spanish, with titles in both languages. Includes more than 100,000 articles in Spanish and over 400,000 in English.

A comprehensive resource of research, policy and practice literature in the fields of family science, human ecology and development, and social welfare. Provides abstracts and bibliographic records from 2,000+ journals, books, reports, and other sources.

Profiles over 70,000 U.S.-based foundations, describing programs, areas of funding, types of support, geographic emphasis, trustees & officers, application process, deadlines, and lists of recent grants made. Updated biweekly.
A full text database of 140 international publications devoted to women's and gender issues, including scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers, plus reports, pamphlets, papers and conference proceedings.
Global Health (CABI)
Global Health is a public health database that provides information on international health, biomedical life sciences, non-communicable diseases, public health nutrition, food safety and hygiene, and much more.
Google Book Search
Searches the full text of books, including those in the University of Michigan Libraries that have been scanned by Google. For works in the public domain, provides complete full text; for works under copyright, provides either brief snippets showing location of search terms or limited previews provided by cooperating publishers. Provides links to "Find in a library" and/or purchase from a vendor.
Google Scholar (with UM Ann Arbor MGet It Links)
The Google Scholar search engine that searches for scholarly documents on the World Wide Web, with the added feature of MGet It (labeled as "Availability at UMichigan") links from University of Michigan at Ann Arbor that connect you to the online and print versions held by the University Library.
Health and Psychosocial Instruments
Indexes journal articles that describe or utilize tests and measures used in health care, psychosocial sciences and organizational behavior. Also provides some information about the tests.
Hispanic American Periodicals Index
Provides citations drawn from more than 400 journals, primarily in Spanish or English, which cover Latin America, the Caribbean, and Hispanics in the United States.
Historical Statistics of the United States: Millennial Edition
The online version of the revised five-volume reference work. Topics ranging from migration and health to crime and the Confederate States of America are each placed in historical context by a recognized expert in the field. The fully searchable and downloadable electronic edition will permit users to graph individual tables and create customized tables and spreadsheets.

International Political Science Abstracts
International Political Science Abstracts (IPSA), provides abstracts of about 8,000 political science articles per year, published in scholarly journals and yearbooks worldwide. IPSA is produced and published bimonthly by the International Political Science Association.

MedLine via Ovid
The MEDLINE database is widely recognized as the premier source for bibliographic and abstract coverage of biomedical literature. MEDLINE encompasses information from Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing, as well as other sources of coverage in the areas of allied health, biological and physical sciences, humanities and information science as they relate to medicine and health care, communication disorders, population biology, and reproductive biology. Mental Measurements Yearbook
Contains descriptive information and critical reviews of more than 2,000 commercially-available standardized English-language educational, personality, aptitude, neuro-psychological, achievement and intelligence tests.
Online library of the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Includes full-text of all books, 24 periodicals and the OECD statistical databases.

PMC is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine.

ProQuest Statistical Abstract of the United States
The US Census Bureau published the Statistical Abstract of the United States from 1878-2012. The company ProQuest picked up the series beginning in 2013.
ProQuest Statistical Insight
Indexes and abstracts federal statistical publications since 1974, business and state government publications since 1980, and international agency publications since 1983. Provides links to full text of 15% of federal publications. Firefox and Internet Explorer recommended. Does not work with Safari.

Social Sciences Citation Index
Coverage: 1900 - present
Description: A multidisciplinary database, with searchable author abstracts, covering the journal literature of the social sciences. It indexes 1,700 journals spanning 50 disciplines.

Tests and Measures in the Social Sciences: Tests available in compilation volumes
An index for finding tests and measurement instruments in print compilations, web sites and other resources.
You can find official statistics produced by countries and compiled by United Nations data system, as well as estimates and projections. The domains covered are agriculture, education, energy, industry, labour, national accounts, population and tourism.
