Sarah Burgard and Shige Song (Queens College, CUNY) were awarded ASA's 2010 Distinguished Sociology of Population Paper Award for their paper: “Does Son Preference Influence Children’s Growth in Height? A Comparative Study of Chinese and Filipino Children.” Population Studies 62(3): 305-320.
The award will be given at the Population Section Awards and Reception Gathering at the ASA meetings in Atlanta on Monday, August 16th.
