Harding is among three faculty researchers selected to receive the University of Michigan's 2011 Henry Russel Award, one of the highest honors given to junior faculty. Harding’s research focuses on connections between social contexts and the reproduction of inequality, especially the sources of poverty and disadvantage rooted in community characteristics.
