At the U-M Regents meeting on September 16, 2010, John Bound was named the George E. Johnson Collegiate Professor of Economics, effective September 1, 2010 to August 31, 2015. Like the late Dr. Johnson, Dr. Bound has studied and taught labor economics. Bound's current research examines the labor force participation and health status of older Americans; racial differences in earnings, employment, and health; and changes in the returns to higher education.
