Bailey and Dynarski find women outpace men in educational attainment, especially at highest income level

a PSC In The News reference, 2011

"The 'Boy Problem' Examined " - Inside Higher Ed. 12/06/2011.

Analyzing data from the census and the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth, Martha Bailey and Susan Dynarski found that women have greater educational attainment across every demographic group examined. They found the largest gender gap in college completion at the highest economic range, where women have a 13-percentage-point advantage. Their study is presented in a working paper.
