Bob Groves leaving Census Bureau for Georgetown University

PSC Announcement

04/10/2012

In a statement April 10, Groves said he will leave the post as director of the Census Bureau in August to become provost of Georgetown University. He has been census director since 2009, during which he led the agency's once-a-decade count of the nation's population, which was well-regarded for being accurate and coming in $1.9 billion under budget.
