"Energy Drinks Linked with Alcohol and Drug Use in Teens" - Huffington Post. 02/06/2014.

Recent analyses by Yvonne Terry-McElrath, Patrick O'Malley, and Lloyd Johnston found a significant positive link between teens' energy drink consumption and their use of alcohol, cigarettes, marijuana, and amphetamines. The study did not consider causes for the associations.
