"Income Inequality and the Ills Behind It" - New York Times. 07/29/2014.

This post looks at the complexity of rising economic inequality in the U.S. -- including causes, proposed solutions, and failed attempts at remediation. Higher education, for example, seems to have contributed to inequity in that college attainment has risen much faster among the wealthiest than the poorest Americans over the last several decades, as shown by Martha Bailey and Susan Dynarski.
