Dr. Ford’s work is focused on social and behavioral aspects of the AIDS epidemic in the U.S. and in Asia. Her work includes behavioral research on factors related to risk-taking behaviors as well as interventions to reduce the risk of HIV infection among high-risk groups. She is currently completing an intervention study for female sex workers in Indonesia that combines behavioral and medical approaches to prevent infection.
