Dr. Tourangeau is the lead author of The Psychology of Survey Response, a classic reference that examines the processes through which survey respondents answer questions. In recent work, he studies the use of audio and visual presentation of survey questions and the capability of interaction with the respondent, methods especially useful in the collection of sensitive information.
