Dr. Wildeman is broadly interested in racial and ethnic inequalities in family life. His recent research has focused on the consequences of mass imprisonment for childhood inequality, including the risk of parental imprisonment for American children and the causal effects of parental imprisonment on infant mortality risk and children's aggressive behaviors at age five.
