The New White Flight

Publication Abstract

Frey, William H. 1994. "The New White Flight." American Demographics.

"Migration flows are widening the demographic differences among states. In six states, minority immigration from other countries may be driving poor whites away, but not the college-educated. Florida and five other states that attract interstate migrant s are magnets for the nation's most talented and skilled workers. And states with heavy out-migration are especially likely to lose their best and brightest."
