Comparing Survey Measures of Declining Marginal Utility IV

Investigator:   Miles Kimball

Miles Kimball ha formed a collaboration with the Osaka University Institute for social and Economic Research Center of Excellence to develop new measures of household preferences. The fourth stage of this collaboration is the proposed rider on the April 2007 Survey of Consumers, which explores the topic of wealth, work, income and spending preferences and on the topic of happiness. (The text of the rider which was sent to the IRB is attached. This text may be modified somewhat after pretesting.) Obtaining all of these deferent measures on a single survey will make it possible to se if there is a single consistent answer to this question or whether different ways of framing that question yield very different answers.

Funding Period: 04/01/2007 to 02/16/2008
