Continuity and Change in American and Social Life: (USDA pass through)

Additional supplemental funding via NSF interagency transfer from USDA ($951,500).

Specifically, this additional funding will:

1. continue work on tasks related to the collection of the third wave of the PSID-Child Development Supplement (CDS-III);

2. continue the ongoing collection of food-related longitudinal data on adults and children in American families;

3. facilitate the use of the food-specific data by the wider scientific community through the development of data tools for ease of use and through the promotion of the data at professional meetings, conferences, and user workshops;

4. write up results from research activities as well as an overview of the PSID and CDS as tools to answer food and nutrition-related research questions, presenting this research at ERS;

5. support a graduate student to conduct research in the area of economic and policy issues involving food, food assistance, nutrition, and/or obesity.
