iSSS is currently in preproduction for the follow-up phase of the Chinese Family Panel Studies (CFPS). The baseline interviews for CFPS were conducted with approximately 1200 families in 2008. In 2009, the CFPS will be returning to these families for follow-up interviews using computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI). iSSS will be using Blaise to program the CAPI follow-up applications and has requested continued assistance from SRO with the development of the follow-up questionnaires to be used in 2009. SRO has extensive experience with Blaise and has the resources available to continue to provide this service to ISSS. In addition to the Blaise follow-up questionnaires, iSSS would like to use our SurveyTrak software for sample management on the CFPS and has requested assistance from SRO with the development of a SurveyTrak sample management system to use on the 2009 follow-up effort. Assistance will include design suggestions, programming and installation support, training on SurveyTrak, and help with translation of the SurveyTrak system into Chinese. Other work in support of the CFPS will include sample consultation, assistance with interviewer training and data collection monitoring, assistance with quality control specifications, and consultation on data processing and dissemination.
