Investigator: James M. Lepkowski
In 2006, BJS requested the National Research Council to assemble a panel under the direction of the Committee on National Statistics and the Committee on Law and Justice to conduct a comprehensive review of the bureau?s programs, including recommendations of options for conducting and improving National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS).
In order to help BJS address the recommendations of the panel, BJS has a critical need for expert guidance and advice on the state of the current NCVS projects and activities, and an expert assessment of products produced in this work.
James Lepkowski will assist the Presidentially-appointed Director of BJS with activities associated with victimization research and ongoing studies associated with the redesign of the NCVS as well as work associated with BJS?s evaluation of current NCVS core operations.
