SWAN Repository Ancillary Study - Whole Genome Amplification (WGA)

We propose to use a vial of extracted DNA from the Repository that has been committed (embargoed) to my research program by the Study. I would propose that this extracted DNA specimen from 1538 SWAN participants undergo whole genome amplification (WGA) to increase the number of vials of extract DNA available through the Repository. For many studies of human genetics, the amount of DNA is a limiting factor and now the SWAN Repository has reached that point in the absence of funding to engage in the proposed program to submit our cell lines to passage and use an aliquot of cell lines as a source of DNA. Currently, all extracted DNA aliquots in the Repository have either been made available to scientists or embargoed for use until scientists are successful in securing funding.
