Immigrant Elders: Living Arrangements, 1850-2000

Investigator:   Myron Gutmann

The Michigan project team, led by Myron Gutmann, will share responsibility with the team working at Arizona State University in Tempe on virtually every aspect of the project. Professor Gutmann and Professor Gratton expect to collaborate closely on the creation of working data sets, and on the analysis of the data and the production of papers and reports. The specific aims of the project propose the creation of articles that analyze the comparative role of ethnicity and culture on the one hand, and economic and demographic situations, on the other. The Michigan research assistant will help Professor Gutmann with all aspects of the work, including creating and extracting data sets, performing statistical analyses, and wrting up results.
