Research Interests: I am interested in studying social change in Nepal with a focus on changes in social and cultural values, attitudes and behaviors, and ideational influences, particularly in relation to the changing status and conditions of girls and women. I am also interested in issues related to poverty alleviation focusing on gender and caste/ethnic inequities, and its implications on policy analysis and advocacy.
