THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN

The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign seeks a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of assistant professor. The candidate will hold a 100% appointment in the Department of Sociology. We are particularly interested in identifying candidates who work in the fields of sociology of health and environment, and state, law and society.

Candidates must have clear promise of developing a distinguished record of research, as well as undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates for appointment should have or be near to completing the PhD by the starting date of August 16, 2010 (start date is negotiable). Salary is competitive.
