This full-day event covers the work and career highlights of Dick Nisbett, Distinguished University Professor of Psychology and former director of the Research Center for Group Dynamics. Nisbett's research has focused primarily on on how laypeople reason and make inferences about the world using inductive inference, causal reasoning and covariation detection; how reasoning differs between East Asians and Westerners; and study of "cultures of honor."
