A2 Data Dive 2017 and Bootcamps

Faculty, staff, and students at ISR are invited to participate in the Ann Arbor Data Dive (A2D2) - an annual event sponsored by the U-M School of Information that fosters collaboration between community members and local non-profits on how to improve data usage. The goal is to give non-profits a better understanding of their data and what they can do with it, as well as hands-on experience with data.

A2D2 will also hold bootcamps on data manipulation and information visualization in the morning of Nov 11, from 8.30 to 11.30 in 1275 North Quad.

A2 Data Dive is open to all, regardless of background. Past participants with a variety of skill sets have worked with non-profits in areas such as data visualization, web scraping, heatmaps of populations reached, new database schemes, and much more. This year's clients include:

Leslie Science and Nature Center
Huron River Watershed Council
Ferndale Police Department
Ann Arbor Learning Community
