Don't miss out on your exclusive opportunity to join Detroit expert Ren Farley on a once-in-a-lifetime bus tour of Detroit on Saturday, August 4, 2018!

Tickets are $50 each. Tickets are on sale on Tuesday, July 24 in Room 1450 of ISR - Thompson beginning at 10:00. There are only 51 tickets available. You are welcome to purchase tickets for guests.


The Tour will leave ISR - Thompson at 9:00 am and arrive back at 5:00 pm. Professor Farley is an expert on Detroit and the author of Detroit Divided. On August 4th, he will highlight the history of Detroit and several efforts that are underway to redevelop or reinvigorate various areas in Detroit, including The District Detroit and other features of Downtown, Midtown, and a community managing their own comeback in western Detroit. The ticket price does not include lunch, which will be at Eastern Market in Detroit, so you can sample the amazing assortment of foods available there.

All net proceeds from the Bus Tour go to the Laurie Staples Staff Development Fund, which supports the education and training of ISR staff pursuing undergraduate or masters degrees. To date, 92 awards have been made to the ISR staff toward obtaining their educational goals.
