Shaping population studies at Michigan for five decades:

A celebration for two esteemed PSC colleagues, Al Hermalin and Ren Farley, who are each celebrating 50+ years as faculty members at the University of Michigan

BIO:

Dr. Hermalin is currently involved in studying older age mortality and health in Asia. He has also done extensive research on fertility using multi-level analysis.

Dr. Farley's research interests concern population trends in the United States, focusing on racial differences, ethnicity, and urban structure. His current work includes an investigation of the residential consequences of revitalization in the Rust Belt.
