"The surprising truth about women smokers in China" - ISR - Sampler. 09/20/2011.

Al Hermalin and Deborah Lowry discovered that cigarette usage patterns among women in China vary from those in most Western countries. Although only 1 in 25 Chinese women smoke -- compared to 1 in 6 American women -- smoking is much more common among older than younger women.
