Frey says more deaths than births among white Americans signals big demographic shifts

a PSC In The News reference, 2013

"Census Benchmark for White Americans: More Deaths Than Births" - New York Times. 06/13/2013.

New census data showing deaths exceeded births among non-Hispanic whites are "alerting us to the impending decline in the white population that will characterize most of the 21st century," says William Frey in this NYT piece. This means that America "will be reliant on younger minorities and immigrants for our future demographic and economic growth," he says.
