Levy says changing ACA requirements would prompt employers to reduce F-T employee hours to avoid providing insurance

a PSC In The News reference, 2014

"Ivy Tech president asks for changes to Obamacare" - Indianapolis Star. 01/28/2014.

In congressional testimony, Helen Levy countered an argument by the head of Indiana's community college system to increase from 30 to 40 the number of work hours that would trigger the ACA's requirement for large employers to offer health insurance. Saying that this change would increase by 3 to 5 fold the number of workers in jeopardy of having their hours reduced so employers could avoid providing insurance, Levy said: "I do not mean to dismiss either the economic or the emotional resonance of the stories of individuals that we are hearing. But, at the same time, I think it is important to look at the big picture."
