Frey says China is source country of most new U.S. immigrants

a PSC In The News reference, 2015

"China Passes Mexico as the Top Source of New U.S. Immigrants" - Wall Street Journal. 04/29/2015.

In 2013, the top origin country for U.S. immigrants was China, with about 147,000, followed by India with 129,000, and Mexico with 125,000. And together, these groups comprise only a third of the 1.2 million immigrants who arrived in 2013. William Frey says that the social, economic, and cultural implications are just starting to surface, but by 2044 - when he projects a 'minority majority' - in America - minority populations will shape U.S. society.
