New study analyzes rates of intergenerational income mobility at all U.S. colleges
"America’s Great Working-Class Colleges" - New York Times. 1/18/2017.
Using administrative data on all U.S. college students (>30 million) from 1999 to 2013, Raj Chetty and colleagues characterized rates of income mobility by looking at students' earnings compared to their parents'. With these results, they developed 'mobility report cards' for each college in America, examining how colleges mediate mobility and highlighting a set of colleges that seem to serve as 'engines of mobility.'
