Using data from the Monitoring the Future study, Megan Patrick and colleagues assessed the prevalence among 8th and 10th graders of drinking 10 or more drinks in a row - termed high-intensity drinking - over the prior 2 weeks. They found about 2% reported this behavior, with higher prevalence among 10th graders, males, and those who smoked cigarettes or marijuana than among their counterparts.
