Miller et al. find link between Medicaid expansion program and improvements in several measures of financial health

The NBER working paper shows low-income Michigan residents who enrolled in the state Medicaid expansion program experienced fewer debt problems, fewer bankruptcies and evictions and other financial problems. Those with chronic illnesses saw the largest financial effects.
