Valentina Duque (PSC, U of M)

10/02/2017, 12:00:00, 6050 ISR - Thompson

Please bring your lunch, PSC will provide beverages and a small sweet treat.

Presenter:
Dr. Duque's research examines the short- and long-term effects of early-life circumstances on individual's human capital, the role that parental investments and government programs play in improving levels of health and well-being in both developing and developed countries, and the interaction between early-life conditions and later life human capital investments. Recent projects investigate how early-life conditions interact with subsequent human capital investments to influence future educational outcomes; and how providing pregnant mothers with a short informational intervention affects birth outcomes and early childhood health.
