Research Interests: Huiyun Kim studies urban poverty and low-income housing assistance programs. His dissertation project examines the role of housing assistance programs in reducing housing insecurity, and the policy design and implementation of low-income housing programs. Using multiple methods, he examines the intersection of low-income housing programs and housing insecurity among the poor - for example, using an econometric approach to program evaluation and a qualitative approach to examining decision making in program implementation.
