Ph.D., University of Toronto

Dr. Karimova's research interests lie in the broad areas of health economics, labor economics, and development economics. Her current research examines the determinants of fertility and prenatal health, how mothers modify fertility behavior in response to adverse but predictable conditions for the offspring, and how this behavior is influenced by family planning programs.
